Two fee-waiver PhD scholarships in the University of Aberdeen
The Department of Anthropology at the University of Aberdeen has two
fee-waiver PhD scholarships available. These will pay for tuition fees,
either at the Home / EU or the International rates depending on the
successful applicants. There are no living expenses as part of the
scholarship, but the successful applicants will be supported in making
further grant applications if necessary.
The two projects are: Ethnopharmacology and Adult Education in the Andes - supervised by Dr Maggie Bolton and Dr Arnar Arnason
The Politics of Movement: An Anthropological Approach to the Body, Architecture and Landscape – supervised by Dr Jo Vergunst and Prof Tim Ingold.
Details on how to apply can be found here - http://www.abdn.ac.uk/cass/graduate/elphinstone-phd-scholarships-329.php and click on ‘Anthropology’ to see details of the projects themselves. A further project potentially of interest to anthropologists but in the School of Language and Literature is also listed there. The deadline for applications is Friday 6 June 2014.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who may be interested. Maggie Bolton (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jo Vengunst (email@example.com) are happy to answer any questions.
